HEY GUYS I GOT A BLOG

Let's kick this thing off, yeah?

Now, I do clothes shopping online because it removes the worst part of going to a clothes shop: going to a clothes shop. Because somedays you just can't be arsed rooting through clothes, getting the permission from some work experience skivvy to go in the changing rooms, find out you need another size down, telling the tea boy that, no, it doesn't fit and that awkward pause were you feel like you should be taking the clothes back yourself because, hey, you picked the wrong size dumbass but then he takes them off you anyway.

Unless you can't bring yourself go through that, tell him everything fits like a bespoke glove and pay for it all while secretly dying inside and go home to cry into your ill-fitting v-neck jumper.

So online shopping. I get stuff from ASOS, every week they send me a newsletter shilling their latest items and fashion trends. Quite often - unless they've got a trend based on a season, because it's not too hard to throw something summery together - these trends suck. I've seen shit put together which works well but they usually look like someone threw a GAP model into a woodchipper and stapled the remains to a charity shop. It's not only ASOS that does it: River Island have a 'fashion stylist' on their website whose promo picture consists of him wearing a denim jacket underneath a tuxedo jack shortly, the photo take shortly before he was arrested by the Fashion Police for eyecrime.

Anyway, this newsletter ends up in my inbox. I look over the latest trends on my scroll down and something hits me: I've seen this outfit before?

But where? And then I remember... 2007's most awesome nerd

Check yo'self fools!! Two years on and, apparently, Fogel's hideous Pinocchio outfit is one of the big trendsetters of the year. At the very least today's style conscious tweens are going to look older and totally buy some beer before getting punched in the face.
